HANS UND ANNA ADLHOCH
Dem katholischen Arbeitersekretär Hans Adlhoch und seiner Frau Anna wurde am 26. Mai 2014 mit einer Stolperstein-Verlegung gedacht. Es handelte sich um die erste Verlegung in Augsburg, und zwar auf dem Privatgrund der Hans-und-Anna-Adlhoch-Stiftung, weil Stolpersteine auf öffentlichem Grund in Augsburg noch nicht erlaubt waren.
Auch heute dürften diese Stolpersteine in Augsburg auf öffentlichem Grund nicht verlegt werden, da Hans und Anna den 8. Mai 1945 noch erleben durften. Hans starb zwei Wochen nach der Befreiung in einem Lazarett an den Folgen der Haft. Er ist also kein Überlebender im eigentlichen Sinne.

Explanation in English:
A “Stolperstein” (literally: “stumbling stone or block”; copyrighted by the German artist Gunter Demnig) was placed in memory of Hans Adlhoch, a secretary for the Catholic Workers Union, and his wife, Anna.
The Stolperstein was placed on the private property of the Hans-and-Anna-Adlhoch-Foundation as the city of Augsburg prohibits the placing of Stolpersteine on public property, and H&A survived beyond May 8, 1945. Hans died two weeks after the liberation due to the effects of imprisonment. He is therefore not considered a “true survivor”. The placement of the Anna and Hans Adlhoch Stolperstein marks the first placement of a Stolperstein in Augsburg.
